In December 1999, in response to a worldwide call for tenders, Hüttinger was awarded the contract for the conceptual design, engineering and fabrication for the first floor of the Glasgow Science Centre. Exploration and Discovery compromises Foundations of Science, Human Body, Discover the Clyde, Planets and Beyond and the prominent Energy Machine sculpture.
