In April 2014 we were contracted to develop, design and build interactive model trucks of ZF's newly developed Innovation Truck. Combining intelligent driveline and steering technology with telematics, the ZF­Innovation Truck represents a pioneering solution to the logistical challenges of tomorrow. When maneuvering the huge vehicle, there’s no need for anybody to sit behind the wheel – nor is there any need to switch on the diesel engine. At low speeds, the truck can be remotely controlled from a tablet outside the cab, moving and parking on battery power alone. This is only possible thanks to cutting-edge technology networked together in innovative ways to create a maneuvering assistant. The car models premiered at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014, in Hanover.
