In May 2012, Hüttinger was awarded the contract for devising a master plan and the conceptual design for the integration of the National Interactive Park (NIP) into the recently built Dvoryets Shkolnikov (lit. Palace for School Children), in Astana. The aim of this multiphase project is to extend the existing institutes of the Dvoryets Shkolnikov by an exhibition. The 1st phase will initially comprise project implementation on the 4th and parts of the 3rd floor. During the 2nd phase, the NIP will be extended by more galleries and the addition of exhibits in the newly created zones. In August 2012, Hüttinger was awarded the design and build contract for the 1st stage of the NIP, which has opened in January 2013.
